Is being confident a good thing?

I would say yes. But being over confident might not be an advantage after all. Especially when you talking people down on their profession.

From my experiences working in the bank, I came to know people whom I might not have a chance to talk to. I would not have met students who came from China struggling their life with limited vocab and grammar, just like me.

I would not have met people from starhub centre who came to ask telephone number from my colleague each time he visits the bank. I would also not have met the kind lady who comes every week and despite the queue, she always bring her smile along.

Being in the job, is not only the profession, but the people you work with. Customers, vendors, colleagues. These are the people whom increase your efficiency, productivity and quality of work. A one man show could hardly be seen these days.

Yet, once a while, we see one-man-show. Confident. All out for everything, anything.
And once in a while, , talks about your profession.
